Brisbane Square Library – Public talks series

Sunday 2 July 11am-12 noon at the Brisbane Square Library. As part of the One city, many histories: Black History Month celebration explore aspects of Brisbane’s rich Indigenous heritage with Dr Ray Kerkhove. Ray will talk about Aboriginal campsites that flourished in and around the city from before settlement to the 1950s, and the pivotal role these played in Brisbane’s character and design. Ray will also share his work mapping little-known Aboriginal-settler conflicts in the region. This is a free event but bookings are required by calling the library on 3403 4166
